About

Besides being the leading JavaScript Consultancy in the Netherlands, Passionate People is also proud to host the largest tech conferences and community events in the world.

Starting in February 2018 with Frontend Love and Vue.js Amsterdam, we are now responsible for many other conferences in Europe under the Frontend Love brand: React Live, AngularNL, Vue.js Amsterdam and JSWORLD Conference.

History

At Passionate People, we strongly believe in giving back to our community — and we are committed to helping developers all over the world learn, grow, and scale in today’s evolving tech ecosystem. Through our conferences, we continuously strive to offer the possibility to network with the community and gain insights into the latest industry trends.

It all started back in June 2017, when part of our organizational team partnered up with ING Bank to offer a Free Meetup attended by 300 people. The event was so successful that the community itself suggested we get into the Conference scene. Shortly after, Frontend Developer Love and Vue.js Amsterdam were born, evolving over the years into becoming some of the largest JavaScript and Vue.js conferences in the world.

Naturally, we did not stop there. In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, conferences of this kind are more relevant than ever. Our ambition was to create the most incredible experience for attendees all over the world, by providing excellent networking opportunities and offering real-world knowledge about the latest trends in the industry.

Values

Diversity & Inclusion

Our aim is to help underrepresented groups in tech attend our conferences, either as an attendee or as a speaker.

We continuously strive for equality regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, or socio-economic background.

During all of our conferences, we aim for a diverse group of speakers in our line up. This provides attendees with the best possible value, offering fascinating and original viewpoints and research from a wider range of areas of expertise.

Programs & Bootcamps We Support

Diversity and inclusion is one of the core pillars of the JS World Conferences. Be it attendees, speakers, programs or bootcamps, we aim to continuously strive for a more diverse and inclusive JavaScript community.

By providing Free Access to people from socially, culturally and economically disadvantaged backgrounds, our goal is to support creating more equal opportunities in the tech workforce.
